How Badly Do You Want To Improve Your Physique?

People often look at me in wonder when I mention that I get up at 6am most mornings to go to the gym. “How do you do it?!” they ask. “I wish I had the motivation to do that” and so on.

Well it’s all down to what you want, and how badly you want it really.

I think most of us would like to be rich. But the furthest most people ever get is buying a lottery ticket. Big wow. They spend their time bemoaning those who *are* wealthy but don’t actually go out to find wealth themselves.

They don’t retrain. They don’t gain extra skills. They don’t start a business. They don’t learn about investing.

And why? Because it’s effort. Because they’d have to watch less TV, or go to the bar less, or go to bed a little later etc.

If they wanted it that badly, they’d be able to give up an hour a day to start their adventure into wealth building.

The choice is simple - watch rubbish on the TV or start getting rich. And most people pick option 2. The simple reason is that whether they know it or not, they prefer watching TV to getting rich.

If they wanted it badly enough, they’d get up and do something about it.

Which is why it frustrates me when people moan about wealthy people. If you’re *that* jealous, get going yourself.

Now, I’m not rich. Maybe I never will be, but that’s not the point of this post.

Here’s the point…

It’s a similar situation with getting fit and healthy.

So many people “wish” they were slimmer, or more muscular, or fitter (I’ve even seen one girl munching her way through some chocolate cake whilst b*tching about how “perfect” an actress looked!).

But they prefer the alternative - being fat, bony and tired all the time.

Given the choice in a rational way like this, which would you prefer?

I think the answer is obvious to most people - especially you since you’re checking out this Body For Life blog.

The question though is deep down which you want more.

So make a decision. Get fired up. Set yourself goals.

*Force* yourself to want option 1 over option 2 and the motivation part starts to take care of itself.

You *will* manage to get up at 6am if that’s what it takes. You will clean up your diet. You will start learning about nutrition, and you will start getting results.

So the question is, how badly do you want it?!
